Urban Lab
Urban Lab is an initiative that springs from the Faculty of Landscape and Society and the subjects urban and regional planning and landscape architecture, but we are interdisciplinary in everything we do, and in the group we also have one from economics from the Business School. Urban Lab is open to all students from all subjects and faculties.


StartUp Smia
StartUpSmia helps NMBU students who want to start their own business. They contribute to everything in the process from idea development to company launch. At StartUpSmia, we support you through your entrepreneurial journey, and you can use the BIT innovation center. Helix NMBU
Helix NMBU is a student-run initiative to promote innovation and entrepreneurship across all disciplines. Helix NMBU participates in Formula Student UK, an internationally renowned engineering competition, and provides students with the opportunity to develop practical skills in design, construction, financial management and project management. The aim of Helix is to increase the employability of students by providing them with hands-on experience that makes them attractive in the job market, regardless of their study programme. Helix is open to all students from all subjects and faculties at NMBU.

CRE8 Conference
The CRE8 conference is an annual conference in Ås that brings together several innovation actors. The CRE8 conference has the vision to contribute to increased engagement around innovation and entrepreneurship. The goal is to engage, motivate and inspire young people and other interested parties to work on idea development. In the long term, the conference will be a unique arena for networking, as well as strengthening cooperation across the business, research and educational environments and organizations at the university.
