Student Election Spring 2023

During the Spring Student Election, the NMBU students will elect

- One leader of the Student Board

- Two members of the Student Board

- One permanent female representative to the University Board (and one sub)

- One permanent female representative to the Faculty Board at each of the seven faculties (and one sin)

All students at NMBU can vote for the candidates for the Student Board and the University Board. 

For the election of a female representative to the Faculty Boards, you can only vote between candidates at your own faculty.

Birgitte, 22 years old from Stavanger. I am studying bioeconomy in the first year, and economics and administration. Previous experiences at NMBU include Globalis, Spire Ås, NU, and student ambassador work. I want to promote the voice of the students. Particularly important topics are the learning environment, subject quality and study layout.

Through other positions in the student democracy and elsewhere at Agrarmetropolen, I have acquired good insight and experience with board and organizational work. I know these are experiences that will be nice to have as a student representative. I want to continue the work to improve interdisciplinary cooperation within the faculty, and work to ensure that the faculty facilitates more practice during the study period.

My name is Idunn and I’m studying landscape architecture in my fourth year. I want to prioritize students’ belonging to campus and their study, and ensure that all students are heard in the faculty meetings. Hello! I study environmental science and I am passionate about all students being included and feeling a sense of belonging and being prioritized. I know the faculty well and have gained a good overview of the students in all fields of study when I was head of “Buddy-Week”. My name is Mathilde and I am on my third year of Environmental Science. I would like to work for a greater focus on sustainability, education quality and the students well being. My name is Amanda Seeger Halvorsen, and I am in my second year of an integrated master’s program in Applied Robotics. During my two years at NMBU, I have been involved in several voluntary positions in the student democracy, as well as starting SheVING. I want to ensure that the students who graduate form our university are as qualified and prepared as possible before entering employment, and that the student voice is included in all decisions that affect us

My experience as a Student parliament representative and student council leader has given me a strong fondness for student politics and a broad network in the student democracy, which I would like to take with me to the Faculty Board should I elected. As a student representative I want to make sure that the students are represented in the Faculty Board's work and ensure that our views and struggles are well known among the rest of the faculty board.
